The faculty and staff of the Baker Institute bring a wealth of experience and domain expertise to the study and practice of entrepreneurship, creativity and innovation. They are a dedicated group of professionals with backgrounds and ongoing practice in founding start-ups, venture capital, technology commercialization, deal brokering and technology management, invention, Intellectual Property protection, entrepreneurship related governmental policy and successful exit strategies.
Dr. Olexa has a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Temple University and an MBA from Lehigh University. She was on the faculty of Temple Medical School, where she taught Biochemistry and conducted research in the blood coagulation system.
Dr. DeHaven is Senior Director for LGS Innovations, LLC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Alcatel-Lucent, which develops special solutions to unique telecommunication problems by working closely with technology partners and suppliers.
