The Institute is an entrepreneurial venture itself and we practice what we preach: we look for opportunities to create value for our customers by understanding their needs and providing solutions that are transformative.
Director, Baker Institute
Tyler joined the Baker Team in November 2023. With extensive experience in educational program design and organizational leadership roles Groft is uniquely positioned to support students during their explorations in entrepreneurship. In support of the university's Inspiring the Future Makers strategic plan, he delivers programs that unlock students' capacity for innovation and creative problem solving vis-a-vis embracing the principles of Design Thinking and adopting an Entrepreneurial Mindset in all that they do. Tyler graduated from Lehigh in 2013 with a B.S. Integrated Degree in Engineering, Arts, and Sciences (IDEAS) and obtained an M.S. in Organizational Leadership from Arizona State University.

At his core, Tyler believes in supporting others, instilling confidence, and connecting people to one another to help them achieve their goals, across all fields and disciplines.

Amayah joined the Baker Team in September of 2023 so she could be surrounded by creatives pursuing their own businesses. Upon graduation, Amayah intends to begin work at a top investment firm in asset/wealth management.
At her core, Amayah believes in pursuing all of her passions regardless of whether the world says she can only follow one.

Brooke joined the Baker Team in October 2024. Having a lot of experience working and helping all kinds of people, she joined hoping to continue this passion and guide the new entrepreneurs at Lehigh. She hopes to continue to help people and join the medical field as a doctor in the future.
